Helping Hands High Point, Inc. offers utility assistance to families. This assistance is used to help those with late bills (past due), but not disconnected. Unfortunately, we are unable to help with reconnections, deposits, or bills from a former residence.
Payments for qualifying applicants will be made directly to the City of High Point.
We do not offer cash assistance or assistance for utility bills other than the City Of High Point Utilities.
Call us at (336)-886-2327 and we will schedule a time for you to come in to apply. Utility assistance is offered on a first come first served basis when funds are available. Please be sure to bring in all the required documentation when you come in.
To qualify:
• You must not have had any Financial Assistance with your utility bills from Helping Hands within the past 6 months.
•The person applying for assistance must be the person who's name is on the City Of High Point utility bill.
We have limited funds for utility assistance, so it's important that you call and talk to us before coming to our office. Utility assistance is offered on a first come first served basis when funds are available by appointment only. It takes a minimum of 3-5 days for your application to be processed. You will receive a call back if we are able to help you with finical assistance.
Rental assistance funds are limited. Please call (336)-886-2327 to speak to a HHHP staff member to see if we have funds available. To be eligible you must not have received any financial assistance from Helping Hands within the last 6 months. If funds are available you can receive an application by email, website, or in-person pick up between 11am-2pm.Once the application is completed please drop it off to the financial assistant coordinator ( 10am-2pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) or leave it in the outside drop box located at entrance on the dock. If your application is approved we will call you back for an appointment.
