We partner with the City of High Point to provide utility assistance to qualifying individuals who have their utilities through the City of High Point.
City of High Point Customers ONLY
on a first come first serve basis as funds are available.
Your utilities must be through the City of High Point
Your service must be active - we cannot help with deposits or reconnection fees
You must not have received utility assistance from us or another agency in the past 90 days
You must be willing and able to cover part of the expense of your utility bill - Helping Hands does not pay 100% of the bill
Your utility bill must be past-due
Required to bring with you when you apply:
Most recent utility bill from your City of High Point account
The utility bill must be in your name
Identification (License or Photo I.D. card)
Social Security Card
Proof of income
Copies of all monthly expenses (all monthly bills)
Tuesday, 9:30am - 1:30pm
Wednesday, 9:30am - 1:30pm
Thursday, 9:30am - 1:30pm

No person or family should go without electricity. That's why we offer assistance with utilities for those who need it. On this page you will find a PDF of the application that you can download and complete. To Apply for utilities assistance, please call us during office hours to schedule an appointment. During your visit, we kindly ask you bring the required documents along with the completed application.
Service Area: This service is only available to people who have the City of High Point as their Utility Company.
